Caryn Mandabach Productions will co-produce THE DEL VECCHIOS as a movie with Greenhouse Films for the British and American markets. Shooting begins in early 2011. Caryn Mandabach & Jamie Glazebook executive produce with Sadie, Raff DeGruttola & Alex Giannini starring as Donatella, Johnny & Frankie Del Vecchio. Wanted by the New York Mob, the Del Vecchio siblings have staged their own deaths and are living as fugitives in Broken Britain. More The Simpsons than The Sopranos, they’re on a quest to find the father they believe to be living under a new identity somewhere in the UK. But with no money and no friends outside Queens, every day for them is a struggle. Strap yourselves in and get ready to see Britain from the viewpoint of foul-mouthed wannabe wiseguys on the run. It’ll be unexpected, rude, satirical, charming, oddly heart-warming and most of all, very funny.

Sadie attended the 2010 Centre For Social Justice Awards in London with old pal Iain Duncan Smith and Sir Bob Geldof. Sadie’s been working with the Secretary of State for Work & Pensions and his acclaimed think tank on social reform, the Centre For Social Justice, helping grassroots charity organizations fight poverty and crime. In 2008, she made a documentary about the work of the Centre For Social Justice for CHANNEL 4.

Sadie was inspired to join the CSJ to help tackle the growing problems caused by violent teenage gangs on Britain’s streets and reform the youth criminal justice system. She was accompanied to the Awards by two of her former mentees, Luke Tucker and Daniel Doran, who she met during her years volunteering as a mentor at Feltham Young Offenders Institute. Sadie & Daniel are currently developing another obs-doc featuring Iain, called The Quiet Man & Me.

Sadie’s co-written a song with Col & Ryan Stanton for the soundtrack of her documentary series, Tucker’s L uck . The spoof country & western track, titled The Ballad Of Lucky Luke (click HERE to listen to MP3!) is performed by Ryan’s band, The Apes, and has already been offered a publishing deal with Joustwise/Peer music. All profits go to The Prince’s Trust. Following her real life misadventures performing with the likes of Matt LeBlanc and Sarah Silverman in the States, Sadie’s been invited to develop her own series for US Comedy Central, the appropriately titled Miss Adventure! A pilot script for the spoof travel series, written by Matthew Marshall & Doug Keay, is already underway with plans for a full series to be produced early next year.

Sadie is equally proud of Chris’s ‘Sailing Miss Sadie’ shipmates, Sam Todd & Geoffrey Nga’nga. Sam is currently working as a sailing instructor and a mentor for kids’ charity CHICKS (Country Holidays For Inner-City Kids) in Devon. Geoffrey is living around the corner from Sadie in Notting Hill. He works in Best Vintage, on Portobello Road, while training as an actor with the National Youth Theatre. Geoffrey recently became the face of the ‘Stop Knives, Save Lives’ campaign.
