Sadie co-stars with Dan Davies in American movie West Of Thunder in the role of Miss Wanda (‘Woman of Ill Repute’ – what else?) The supernatural Western, currently in production, is being produced by Dragonfly Films’ Jody Marriott Bar-Lev & Oscar-winning screenwriter/ movie producer Michael Blake, who wrote the novel & Oscar-winning screenplay for the movie Dances With Wolves.

West Of Thunder is shot on location in New York City, the Badlands of South Dakota & Southern California. Box office profits from the movie, which premieres at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival, will be donated to projects dedicated to saving the last of America’s wild horses and conserving Native American traditions & culture through the creation of a pioneering new academy for Native American students. The Sunka Wakan Academy is currently being built on Pine Ridge, South Dakota.

On a recent trip to South Dakota, Sadie met the inspirational Karen Sussman, whose impressive achievements as President of the International Society for the Protection of Mustangs and Burros help save the lives of thousands of wild horses each year. Sadie is currently organizing a celebrity charity ride from the Hollywood Hills to the Badlands of South Dakota, to help raise public awareness & funding for the ISPMB. She is delighted to have recently been invited to join the ISPMB Board of Directors and to be a poster girl for True Cowboy Magazine with her beloved adopted horse Te Quiero!

Sadie’s partners in Badlands crime include educationalist, animal welfare supporter & VP of ISPMB Jody Marriott Bar-Lev, film director Chase Wright, actor Dan Davies and Oscar-winning screenwriter Michael Blake, who wrote the movie Dances With Wolves. Michael is currently producing a movie, West Of Little Thunder, in which Sadie will star as ‘Miss Wanda’ (‘woman of ill repute’) alongside… Hobo-dog Kaye!! Shooting begins January 2012.

Box office profits will be shared among projects dedicated to saving the last of America’s wild horses & conserving Native American traditions & culture by building a school for Native American children.

Sadie has also pledged to return to South Dakota later this year with a team of British volunteers (disadvantaged young people from Prince Charles‘s charity The Prince’s Trust, of which Sadie is an ambassador) to help Karen care for the horses and to assist Jody in the fulfillment of her dream to build a world-class School for Native American Children in South Dakota. The school, built on Native American land, will also provide a safe haven for more wild mustangs in need of a home.

In 2013 Sadie will document Bernie as he participates in the Yukon Arctic Ultra Marathon, known as The Coldest Race On Earth! It’s 430 miles in temperatures of -50 or below! Participants can either cross country ski, cycle or snow shoe it. No-one has ever completed the race by cross country Skiing. Sadie intends to follow Bernie on a sledge pulled by dogs as he attempts to set a new world record.

Don't think Sadie will get too close to Bernie with him pulling the sledge!

Sadie has become an ITV Fixer! The ITV Network are helping her create exciting new projects aimed at helping disadvantaged 16-25 year olds get the most out of their lives. Her co-conspirator in the battle to ‘fix Broken Britain’ is former mentee Daniel Doran.

Dan did time at Feltham Young Offenders Institute but has succeeded in turning his life around. Now Dan wants to help others do the same. Dan’s personal experiences have given him a deep understanding of how both the prison system works & the challenges young people entrenched in gang culture face.

ITV Fixers intend to make a documentary about Dan’s scheme to provide an Alternative Family Support Network for 16 year old Care leavers. Teenagers who volunteer to join the scheme can look forward to free meals, movies, mentoring, educational support, assistance with job applications, assistance with claiming benefits & in filling out UCAS forms. Dan will be assisted by another former mentee of Sadie’s, Geoffrey Nga’nga.

They can also expect drop in visits from a wide variety of role-models, including inspiring celebrities who grew up in the Care system & overcame the specific challenges Care-leavers face to achieve personal and professional success. The aim is to create a warm, friendly environment that supports Care-leavers as they take their first steps from kidulthood to adulthood…
