A Hong Kong Tragedy
My heart aches with unspeakable grief for all those who lost loved ones in the fire in Tai Po, which has brought back memories of watching the Grenfell Tower tragedy unfold. Tragically, the death toll in Hong Kong is already double that of Grenfell and looks certain to rise with so many still missing. The feelings of loss, sadness and helplessness are overwhelming, but so is pride in Hongkongers, as we have all rushed to give blood, money, provisions and support. If you’re struggling with your mental health, please know that you are not alone. Mind HK and the Red Cross have set up 24 hour hotlines. Bipolar Hong Kong, Mental Ideas and Home Kong Kitchen are doing what we can to assist NGOs. My love and deepest condolences to everyone impacted. 🙏🏼 🇭🇰
