Score Tickets for the HK Lit Fest!
Your opportunity to score tickets for Hong Kong International Literary Festival 2025 has arrived! The launch of the 20th anniversary anthology by the Hong Kong Writers Circle on the theme of ‘Score‘ takes place at the Jockey Club Theatre at the Fringe from 6-7pm on Sunday 2 March. This year’s anthology was edited by Sam Powney, assisted by Jay Oatway (also emcee) and Cassandra Lee. The event is FREE but you must still book tickets as they sell out fast! I’ll be reading one of my ‘Two Shit Shorts‘. There will be drinks at Dragonfly afterwards – hope to see you there!
I have many talented friends taking part in events at this year’s lit fest but one that I’m particularly emotionally invested in. Stewart McKay is taking part in a HKILF panel talk on Queer Narratives in Literature, alongside acclaimed author Madeleine Gray and media personality Chin Huat Ong on Sat 8 March 2.30-3.30pm at Soho House. His debut novella The Ballad of Billy Lopez is a sugar rush of pure adrenaline that will steal your heart and captivate you from start to finish! I was honoured to give an advanced comment (as did Sam) when it was published by Proverse in November.
